Clear and Translucent Parts FAA 6565-Rated, Custom Routed

Boltaron 9816 proprietary thermoplastic sheet for FAR-rated partitions, dividers and other privacy applications is offered in blue/gray tints ranging from clear to opaque, as custom-routed components or full-size sheets.

Newcomerstown, OH — A new Boltaron grade of clear and translucent thermoplastic sheet rated for aircraft interior applications is offered precision routed to customer specifications.

Designated "Boltaron 9816," the new sheet is rated to FAR 25.853 A1 (i) and (ii) for flammability, and FAR 25.853 A1 F, Part IV "65-65" for heat release.

Offered in a range of blue/gray tints ranging from clear to opaque, it is intended for class divider partitions, galley and lavatory screens and other applications in which partial privacy is required while maintaining an open, attractive environment.

The sheet is available CNC-routed to user specifications, in gauges from .040 to 1.00 in. (1.02 to 25.4 mm). The parts are textured on both sides in Suede/Suede (SD/SD), Mirror/Mirror (MR/MR), or Falmouth/Falmouth (FM/FM).

Also available as full sheets 50 x 99 in. (127 x 251 cm), the material can be sawn, routed, drilled and otherwise machined using conventional tools, as well as heat welded, adhesive bonded and mechanically fastened without cracking. It can also be post formed, brake formed and thermoformed.

The new sheet is free of inclusions, and resists abrasion and harsh chemicals, allowing repeated cleaning with no staining or fading.
