Boltaron®9885 extruded proprietary thermoplastic alloy sheet was developed for higher in-service temperature interior aircraft applications. It meets FAR 25.853(d) test criteria, and its heat deflection temperature exceeds 185°F at 264 psi load (85°C at 1.8 MPa).

Boltaron® 9885, with a 196°F heat deflection temperature, allows parts to meet the operating high temperature requirements of RTCA DO-160 Chapter 4.5.3 as required in Airbus Passenger Seat Installation-Frame Specifications. The material also offers a solid balance of overall performance, high impact strength, and resists abrasion, chemicals and cleaners. In thermoforming, Boltaron® 9885 exhibits exceptionally high consistency with uniform surface appearance and wall thickness integrity even in deep draws and sharp corners.
